Montenegro to include NGO activists into EU talks

Six civil society representatives are being included in the initial stage of negotiations between Montenegro and the EU.

Montenegro’s government has included NGO activists in teams charged with working on membership chapters with the EU. In December, the European Council set June as a possible date for the start of accession talks between Montenegro and Brussels.

The six NGO activists will be helping bureaucrats prepare chapters 23 and 24 on the rule of law, organized crime and corruption.
