Serbia invites Kosovar for the first time to a regional forum

Serbian government’s Office for Cooperation with Civil Society has invited Taulant Hoxha, director of the Kosovo Foundation for Civil Society, to a regional forum entitled “Partnership for Change: Civil society and government institutions of the Western Balkans and Turkey”.

This will be the first time a Kosovo national has represented his country in Serbia without provoking a Serbian boycott or walkout.

Kosovo will be represented at regional meetings simply under the name of “Kosovo” but also with a footnote referring both to UN Resolution 1244 and the opinion of the International Court of Justice, ICJ, on Kosovo’s declaration of independence.
