Bulgaria and Romania to discuss Black Sea delimitation this year in Bucharest

Bulgaria and Romania have been holding talks about the delimitation of the Black Sea areas for more than 20 years, the spokesperson for the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry announced.

The latest round (17th) was held in December 2011 in Sofia, with the next round arranged this year in Bucharest.

“The talks are taking place in a friendly atmosphere and in the context of the two countries’ wish to solve the issue by signing a bilateral agreement. The issue is not a problem in our bilateral relations, which are ones between partners and good neighbors”, reads the statement.
