US congressmen says Dayton forum could solve Balkan issues

“Looking at the Macedonian issue, as well as at many other burning issues in the Balkans, we see that there is a need to take more active role in the solving of these issues. I think that the US approach at the moment follows the principle of ‘wait and see whether the countries would not cope with the issues on their own’,” US congressman Michael Turner said.

According to the US congressman, all open issues in the region should be solved together and this could be done by organising a forum, similar to the one in Dayton, where the Agreement on Bosnia and Herzegovina was signed.
