EU Commissioner Stefan Fule says that Serbia could start EU talks in 2012

EU Commissioner for Enlargement Stefan Fule said that Serbia could start the EU accession talks this year.

His declaration came in parallel to a vote for the resolution on Serbia at the European Parliament (EP).

Fule said that 2011 was full of challenges for Serbia.

According to him, the country may start the negotiations with the EU.

“Meeting the conditions should be the first task of the new government,” he said.
