MEPs discuss energy security, trade and human rights with EU’s Eastern Partners

A second ordinary plenary session of Euronest took place in in Baku, Azerbaijan, on 2-4 April.

The forum’s purpose is to promote political and economic integration between the EU and Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. 

The issues on the agenda were energy security, economic reform and human rights.

The Euronest interparliamentary adopted resolutions on common energy security threats, strengthening the role of parliaments and EU support for Eastern Partners’ structural economic and public administration reforms.

The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict was also one of the discussed topics.
