Bosnia adopts budget seeking IMF deal on next month

Bosnia’s central government approved the budget for 2012 on Wednesday as the country seeks talks next month with IMF on a new loan deal.

The adoption of the budget was delayed so far because misunderstandings of Serb, Croat and Muslim leaders.

The country’s Prime Minister Vjekoslav Bevanda said that a budget of  €485 million has been adopted for state institutions.

Bosnian Finance Minister Nikola Spiric said the draft, which will be debated by parliament next week, reflected new legislation cutting the wages of all public sector workers by 4.5 percent and other austerity measures.
