Romania’s new government passes Parliament vote

Romania’s new centre-left government headed by Victor Ponta on Monday won a vote of confidence in parliament, pledging to pursue reforms while seeking to correct social imbalances.

The cabinet will be sworn in later in the day during a ceremony at the presidential palace.
