Georgia and Bulgaria to increase bilateral cooperation

The Bulgarian President, Rosen Plevneliev, and his Georgian counterpart, Miheil Saakashvili, met during the NATO summit in Chicago and agreed to exchange official visits in near future.

The two discussed a few ‘common grounds’.

Plevneliev and Saakashvili agreed to exchange official visits in near future and to boost bi-lateral cooperation. In that respect, the Bulgaria President stated: ‘A great friendship and common interests unite our two countries. I, myself, will be visiting Tbilisi soon and also expect the President of Georgia to visit Sofia as our special guest’.
