Newly elected Serbian President to resign from leader of Serbian Progressive Party

Tomislav Nikolic, the Leader of the Serbian Progressive Party (SDS), will resign from chairperson of the party.

He promised to step down as head of the party if he will be elected as Serbian President.

The Constitution of Serbian allows to the president to also be a member and leader of a political party.
