EC to press Greece to fully implement debt deal

The European Commission will likely press Greece on Wednesday fully implement the debt deal with foreign creditors during a meeting where individual member states of the EU will present proposals.

EC spokesman Amadeu Altafaj stressed on Tuesday that the EC, European Central Bank and IMF would not return to Athens until a stable and pro-bailout government is in place.

EC President Jose Manuel Barroso also called for full economic convergence of eurozone countries in a bid to ease the concerns of investors regarding the future of the single currency.
