The creation of new jobs is “the only problem for the Bulgarian government”, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov believes, according to the record of the weekly Cabinet sitting released Friday.
“The creation of new jobs is the most important thing. At the moment, we must focus on job creation because this is the only problem before our government, and, of course, before the people,” Borisov told his Cabinet ministers on Wednesday, the sitting record shows. The PM further stated that an unemployed person did not care that unemployment is high all over the world in a time of crisis.
“The creation of a single job today is a success. This is a family, a person who feels good,” Borisov added.
In the same sitting, the PM urged Agriculture Minister Miroslav Naydenov to tour the regions with mixed population in Bulgaria where many people traditionally are tobacco growers in order to make them aware that Borisov’s ruling party GERB broke down the “monopoly” organized by the ethnic Turkish party DPS, which has resulted in higher selling prices for tobacco.
“The people must know that these decisions of ours, these subsidies, and all that reached them is directly for them. So you should get organized, meet with these people, check out if something else needs to be dealt with but they should be made aware that this policy of ours is already yielding results, Borisov stated.
