Kosovo Serbs protest in Belgrade

A protest of northern Kosovo Serbs against the implementation of the Brussels agreement started in Belgrade on Friday.

The protest is dubbed “We are staying in Serbia”.

The protest started at 12:44, which symbolizes UN Security Council Resolution 1244.

The northern Kosovo Serbs believe that the implementation of the agreement would integrate them in Priština’s system.

Around 1,000 protesters gathered at Republic Square in downtown Belgrade. They are chanting “Treason” and slogans against Prime Minister Ivica Dačić.

Some are carrying posters of First Deputy PM Aleksandar Vučić and President Tomislav Nikolić wearing traditonal Albanian hats and banners “They betrayed Kosovo”.
