Pro-Morsi supporters to stage demonstrations

A pro-Morsi protest will begin in Egypt today. One million people will take part in it.

Morsi’s supporters decided to protest today in response to Egyptian Defense Minister Abdel Fattah al-Sisi’s call on the people to go to pro army rallies and demand that the military be authorized to fight terrorism.

Clashes between supporters and opponents of President Mohamed Morsi have been ongoing in Egypt after the Egyptian military suspended the constitution and ousted Morsi on July 3.

Egyptian Islamists do not accept these decisions and demand the return of power to the legally elected president.
