Head of EU electoral observation in Mali hails second round vote

The head of the European Union’s electoral observation mission in Mali has hailed the second round of the country’s presidential election polls.

Louis Michel said there were some faults, but they are not sufficient to challenge the credibility of the vote.

He also praised the western African country for its substantial democratic progress. Mali has been suffering a political and military crisis since 2012.
