Turkish Ambassador to Egypt to inform Council of Ministers

Turkish Ambassador in Cairo Huseyin Avni Botsali, who was recalled on Friday for consultation following Wednesday’s crackdown by the Egyptian army on anti-coup protesters in Cairo, will inform on Monday the meeting of Council of Ministers on Egypt.

Expected to attend the Monday meeting of Council of Ministers with Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, Botsali will elaborate on the recent developments in Egypt to Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the other members of the Council of Ministers.

Before the meeting of Council of Ministers, Turkey’s Ambassador to Egypt Botsali will hold talks at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with Turkish FM Davutoglu.

Earlier on Monday, Botsali was also recieved by Turkish President Abdullah Gul at Cankaya Presidential Palace.

Egypt has been in a state of turmoil since security forces on Wednesday violently dispersed two major protest camps set up by pro-democracy demonstrators who condemned the overthrow of country’s first elected president Mohamed Morsi in a July 3 military coup.
