Dacic and Thaci to meeting again with Catherine Ashton

imgPrime ministers of Serbia and Kosovo Ivica Dačić and Hashim Thaci will next week on Tuesday, August 27 in Brussels meet with EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton.

Ashton’s spokesperson Maja Kocijančič said in a statement that they will discuss progress in the implementation of the April agreement based on the plan adopted by the two sides.

“High Representative Catherine Ashton spoke with Prime Minister Dačić as well as with Prime Minister Thaci on the phone today to prepare the next meeting in the framework of the EU-facilitated dialogue. This next meeting will take place on Tuesday 27 August in Brussels,” the spokesperson said.

The two sides are yet to reach an agreement on telecommunications and energy, while Belgrade is saying that the “Republic of Kosovo” insignia on the ballot papers for the November local elections is another contentious issue.
