Turkish FM says all red lines in Syria have been crossed

imgAll lines in the Syrian civil war have been crossed, stated Turkish Foreign Affairs Minister Ahmet Davutoglu Thursday, calling for a resolute international involvement in the conflict.

Davutoglu is on a trip to a number of European capitals to negotiate sommon action following reports that the forces of embattled Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad have used chemical weapons.

“All red lines have been crossed but still the UN Security Council has not even been able to take a decisio,” Davutoglu told reporters in Berlin at a joint press conference with his German counterpart Guido Westerwelle.

“This is a responsibility for the sides who still set these red lines and for all of us,” added the Turkish top diplomat.

“It is impossible to accept that those who are blind to what’s happening in Syria stay that way after this crime against humanity,” said Davutoglu.

“No one says that the chemical attack did not take place. The Syrian regime also condemns it but says that it is not responsible,” added he.
