Serbian President to visit China

The main goal of Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic’s coming visit to Beijing scheduled for 25-29 August, is to further strengthen and reinforce the good ties between Serbia and China, Stanislava Pak Stankovic, a spokeswoman for Nikolic said Thursday.

She told Xinhua that the two countries have a long tradition of friendly relations, which are mutually cherished and in constant rise since the establishing of a strategic partnership in 2009.

While in Beijing, Nikolic plans to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping, Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang and Chairman of standing committee of the National People’s Congress Zhang Dejiang and other Chinese leaders, according to the spokeswoman.

She said the main topics of the talks will be mutual support to territorial integrity of both Serbia and China, economic cooperation and further implementation of signed bilateral agreements, and cooperation within the cooperation framework of China and Central Eastern European Countries.
