Moldovan PM meets Polish counterpart to discuss EU perspective

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and his Moldovan counterpart Iurie Leanca met to discuss Poland’s support for Moldova’s efforts for closer cooperation with the European Union and the abolition of the EU visa regime on Monday.

Tusk said at a joint press conference that one of the main topics of the talks was the prospect of signing by Moldova of an association agreement with the EU at the November Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius. Poland will support Moldova in the road to the EU.

He said that Poland will also support Moldova’s legitimate expectations regarding the lifting of the visa regime.

Leanca said that he invited the Polish prime minister to Chisinau next year.
