Fule says door remains open for Ukraine

The European Union continues to be committed to reach further integration with Ukraine, stated EU Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fule Sunday.

The statement comes in the wake of Thursday’s decision by the Ukrainian government to halt preparations for signing an Association Agreement with the EU.

“Our intentions to modernize Ukraine are unwavering,” said Fule using Twitter in Ukrainian.

He stressed that the EU’s offer is of deepest interest for Ukraine, irrespective of rhetoric to the contrary.
