Pakistani PM calls for resuming dialogue with India

Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif called for resumption of dialogue between Pakistan and India, while addressing an international literary and cultural conference.

Pakistan enjoys cordial relations with its neighbours including China‚ Iran and Afghanistan and “we want likewise good neighbourly relations with India also,” Sharif said in his speech at the conference held in Lahore, capital of Punjab province, on Saturday.

The prime minister said both India and Pakistan should come to the table to solve all their outstanding issues including Kashmir, the more than six decades-old row over the former Himalayan state divided between the two countries and claimed by both in full.
