Turkish ambassador to Egypt returns in Ankara

Turkish Ambassador to Egypt Hussein Avni Botsali arrived in Ankara on November 28 after being declared as persona non grata in the country.

The Egyptian authorities reduced the level of diplomatic relations with Turkey on November 23, 2013 and urged the country’s ambassador to leave Egypt.

While speaking about the decision taken by the Egyptian military leadership against his country, Turkish President Abdullah Gul said that the current situation between Turkey and Egypt is temporary.
