Egyptian ambassador to Ankara left the country

Egyptian ambassador to Ankara Abdurrahman Salahaddin has left Turkey after he was declared persona non grata.

On Nov.23, 2013 the Egyptian authorities reduced the level of diplomatic relations with Turkey and demanded that country’s ambassador in Cairo left Egypt.

Speaking about the decision made by the military government of Egypt with regard to Turkey, Turkish President Abdullah Gul stressed that the current situation between Turkey and Egypt is of temporary nature.
