Moldova says it will not recognize Kosovo

Moldovan Defense Minister Vitalie Marinuta said on Wednesday in Belgrade that his country will not recognize the unilaterally proclaimed independence of Kosovo.

The minister was addressing a meeting with representatives of the Serbian Parliamentary Committee on Defense and Internal Affairs.

He spoke with Chairman of the Committee Dušan Bajatović and member of that parliamentary body Konstantin Samofalov, the Serbian parliament said in a release.

During the meeting, officials voiced willingness to improve bilateral cooperation, and readiness to sign an agreement on cooperation in the field of defense soon.
