EU calls on Bosnia to boost reforms

EU Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Stefan Fule on Monday called on political leaders of Bosnia-Herzegovina to adopt necessary constitutional reforms to make the country’s political system more able to accommodate to the European standards.

Such reforms are necessary for the country to meet its international obligation and acquire European economic assistance, Fule, who arrived here this midday, said during his meeting with leader of the major six political parties.
He urged the Bosnian leaders to meet the demands of protesters relating to the combat against corruption and the improvement of infrastructure.

He asked them to work together in developing plans for political, economic and constitutional reforms instead of quarreling over political gains.
