Mahlab appointed as new Egypt Prime Minister

Minister of Housing Ibrahim Mahlab projection was named Tuesday as the new Prime Minister of Egypt after the resignation of the military installed after the overthrow of President Mohamed Morsi Islamist last year cabinet.

Mahlab, a former member of the National Democratic Party of ousted President Hosni Mubarak, told reporters he had been commissioned by the Acting President Mansour Adly with the formation of the new government before the presidential elections to be held this spring.
