UN asks for Turkey’s support in CAR

imgUN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon called on Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, to encourage Turkey to play an active role in a military mission to help end sectarian unrest in the Central African Republic.

During the conversation that took place the night of February 24, Erdogan said Turkey was still in the process of evaluating the possibility of taking that step, sources of the Prime Minister, the Anadolu Agency.

Ban called Turkey’s contribution as part of the military mission of the European Union, while, for its part, Erdogan pledged to maintain assistance to the people of Central Africa.
