Azerbaijan, Afghanistan discuss situation of the region

Azerbaijan and Afghanistan discussed the military and political situation in the region, as well as the security issues.

Azerbaijani Defense Minister, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov received a delegation led by Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister Zarar Ahmad Osmani on March 19.

Hasanov pointed out that the military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Afghanistan is built on friendly relations and these relations which are beneficial for both of the parties develop permanently.

The two parties exchanged views on the issues related to the military and political situation, as well as security in the region and pointed out that the relations between the two countries in combating threats will continue.
