France to increase military presence to the Gulf

imgOn Wednesday, the French Defense Ministry announced that France will send 3 fighter jets and a warship to the Gulf as a part of the efforts of the alliance led by the United States to support Iraqi forces that are fighting the organization ISIS.

The ministry said in a statement quoted by Reuters “France will send 3 additional Rafale fighter jets, which will be stationed in the United Arab Emirates, as well as sending a warship to the Gulf.”

The French Ministry of Defense added that “this will increase our support to the Iraqi forces in terms of the survey and will able our allies to control the airspace in the region.”
