Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met with Algerian President AbdelAziz Boutaflika to discuss a potential Joint Higher Committee addressing the Libyan crisis.
During the meeting, Shoukry and Boutaflika also discussed other regional issues, according to a statement the Foreign Affairs released on Friday.
The two officials discussed what they saw as a general phenomena of “instability and insecurity” in the region.
Shoukry also informed Boutaflika of “an oral message” sent from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi dealing with bilateral relations and ways to develop them.
Their meeting also involved discussions on the Gaza Reconstruction conference which took place on 12 October, as well as the Syrian and Iraqi crises.
