At least ten militants were killed in the ongoing military operation in Pakistan’s North Waziristan tribal region bordering Afghanistan on Thursday, said the military.
A statement by the Pakistani military’s Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that at least ten militants were killed in North Waziristan’s Datta Khel area as part of the ongoing operation ‘Zarb-e-Azb’.
During the operation, security forces were also successful in destroying militant hideouts. A large cache of arms and ammunition were also destroyed during the aerial strikes, said ISPR.
Earlier on June 1st, at least 22 militants including foreigners were killed in aerial strikes and a ground operation in Datta Khel area. North Waziristan is of the seven semi autonomous tribal regions of Pakistan governed by tribal laws and Pakistan military is undergoing comprehensive operation against the militants in the area.
