French President Francois Hollande will pay Monday a friendship and working visit to Algeria at the invitation of President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika, the presidency of the Republic said Sunday in a statement.
“At the invitation of His Excellency President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika, His Excellency Francois Hollande, President of the French Republic will pay a friendship and working visit to Algeria Monday 15 June 2015,” added the source.
“This visit comes in a context marked by a significant deepening of dialogue and political consultation between the two countries, based on the + Algiers Declaration on Friendship and Cooperation +, signed by the two Heads of State in December 2012,” the statement said.
“Algerian-French multifaceted cooperation and partnership also witnessed significant progress in recent years, and are expected to be further developed, as evidenced by the conclusions of the 2nd High level Intergovernmental Committee held in Paris on last December, under the leadership of the two Prime Ministers, and the results of the 3rd Algerian-French partnership and cooperation ministerial committee which took place in May in Algiers,” the Presidency of the Republic stated.
“In addition to bilateral relations, the talks between President of the Republic and his French counterpart will allow the two Heads of State to discuss a number of regional and international issues of common interest relating to security and peace in Africa and the Middle East, as well as the global multilateral cooperation,” the source added.
