Burkina: the former putschists "refuse" to pursue disarmament

The former Presidential Security Regiment (RSP), the elite unit of the Burkinabe army and author of a failed coup against the transitional government, “refuses” to continue the disarmament, announced Monday the General Staff of the army. The side of the RSP, it ensures that the loyalist army commitments are not respected.
The disarmament, under an agreement between the loyalist army and the coup leaders, is “in a bind,” says the staff, who denounced “the refusal of the former Presidential Security Regiment (RSP) of pursue disarmament by creating incidents and assaulting the staff charged with this mission. ” The RSP was dissolved Friday, September 25 by the transitional government restored after the failed putsch.
