Boko Haram: suicide bombings kill at least 10 in northeast Nigeria

At least 10 people were killed and 39 wounded in four suicide bombings Thursday in Maiduguri in northeastern Nigeria, the military said Friday.
“So far we have had confirmation of 14 dead, counting the bombers, and 39 wounded,” said the headquarters of Defense in Abuja.
The Islamist group Boko Haram has stepped up suicide attacks on civilians in recent months, especially in Maiduguri, capital of Borno state, where a series of attacks had been 117 deaths on 20 September.
Residents and a police officer testified Thursday that there were seven explosions in the district of Ajilari, located near the airport and a military base, and at least two suicide bombers were adolescents .
“We do not have all the information, but we can say that four of Boko Haram suicide bombers set off their explosives vests filled simultaneously,” said the army. Three terrorists in the same area and the fourth to a mosque.
The district Ajilari had been struck on 20 September.
