IS and the Libyan army clashed on Wednesday at Bawirat al-Haswon.
The Misrata Central Hospital counted at least 28 killed and 20 wounded after the fighting.
Bawirat al-Haswon is a city to the west of Sirte, Daesh’s main operating city in Libya. On May 18, Libyan army forces took control of Abu Grain and multiple other small villages. The soldiers have been advancing toward Sirte this week.
