Tunisia strongly condemned the recent terrorist attacks in Iraq that killed and wounded several people.
In a statement issued Friday, the Foreign Ministry condemns the heinous terrorist acts in Iraq over the last two days that killed and wounded several innocent victims.
Tunisia is convinced that the eradication of the roots of terrorism requires that efforts of the various components of the international community be combined and that coordination between them be improved.
In this statement, Tunisia reiterates its full solidarity with Iraq in its fight against terrorism expressing condolences and sincere sympathy to the Iraqi Government and people as well as the grieving families, voicing hope for a speedy recovery for all the wounded.
On Thursday, a car bomb exploded in the Bayaa district, west of Baghdad, killing 51 people and injuring dozens. The day before, a suicide bomber blew up a truck in Sadr City, east of Baghdad, killing at least 16 people.
