NATO's Alvargonzález visits Algeria to increase cooperation

NATO’s Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy, Ambassador Alejandro Alvargonzález, paid an official visit to Algeria on 19 and 20 March 2018 in the framework of the Alliance’s Mediterranean Dialogue.
During his visit, Ambassador Alvargonzález held a bilateral meeting with Foreign Minister H.E.‎ Mr. Abdelkader Messahel, and met with the Inter-ministerial Committee in charge of bilateral cooperation between Algeria and NATO, as well as the Permanent Committee for Military Cooperation with NATO.
‎The meetings focused on the state of play of NATO’s cooperation with Algeria, and how to further enhance political consultations and practical cooperation − including through the development of a new Individual Partnership and Cooperation Programme (IPCP) between NATO and Algeria.
