Communication lost with group of “Self-Defence Forces” in Al-Shuhayl, and SDF storm the area

Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR sources say that five members of the SDF-backed “Self-Defence Forces” went missing. The missing members used to be stationed at checkpoints near Euphrates river in Al-Shuhayl town in eastern Deir Ezzor.

Meanwhile, SDF launched a security campaign, searching for the missing members in areas surrounding their checkpoint, where the security forces arrested a man, his son and another man. Local sources have reported that the five members headed to regime-controlled areas in Baqrus town.

SOHR sources reported earlier this morning that unknown gunmen opened machinegun fire in the early hours of Thursday morning on a military patrol of Syria Democratic Forces, in Khatilah area in Al-Busayrah city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. However no casualties were reported.

After the incident, SDF amassed troops in the area where the attack took place, and deployed other troops along the road to Al-Zar.
