Arab Coalition destroys naval mines planted by Houthis in Red Sea

The Arab Coalition on Tuesday said it had destroyed five naval mines planted by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia in the southern Red Sea.

The naval mines were Iranian-made, the Arab Coalition said, adding that a total of 163 mines in the Red Sea had been destroyed so far.

“The actions of the Houthi militia, which is supported by Iran, threaten maritime security in the Red Sea,” the Arab Coalition said in a statement.
