Security vacuum in SDF-held areas | Asayish member assassinated in Al-Raqqah, and SDF security checkpoint attacked in Deir Ezzor

SOHR sources have reported that unknown gunmen on a motorcycle shot dead, with machineguns, a member of the SDF-backed Internal Security Forces (Asayish) in Al-Karamah town in the east of Al-Raqqah city. Meanwhile, Asayish Forces launched a security campaign in the area, searching for the attackers, but they have not find them.

On the other hand, unknown gunmen opened machinegun fire on a checkpoint of Syria Democratic Forces in Abreha village in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. The SDF members stationed on the checkpoint responded to the gunfire by shooting the attackers, but no casualties have been reported.

As more fatalities are recorded and updated regularly, the number of people who were killed in areas within the four provinces of Aleppo, Deir Ezzor, Al-Raqqah and Al-Hasakah, in addition to the SDF-held area of Manbij in the north-east of Aleppo rose to 652 fighters, civilians, oil workers, and officials in service parties.

The Syrian Observatory documented the assassination of 232 civilians including 17 children and 11 women by armed cells in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, al-Hasakah countryside, al-Raqqah city and countryside, and Manbij area. In addition, 416 SDF fighters, including local leaders, were assassinated in the same areas.

Also, four members of International Coalition were killed. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights Human also documented tens of injuries due to these assassinations.
