Less than 48 hours after Turks targeted Russian vehicles | Russian forces bring in military reinforcement to their base in Manbij, eastern Aleppo

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored this evening the entry of a Russian military column into the city of Manbij in eastern Aleppo countryside. The column consists of eight trucks carrying weapons and ammunition, in addition to several Russian armoured vehicles. The column headed to the Russian base of Asaliya in the area.

On Feb 9, SOHR sources said that Turkish forces targeted with mortars and medium machine guns, this evening, Russian military vehicles which were roaming near the village of Kirata in Manbij countryside. No casualties have been reported so far.

This comes in light of Russian-Turkish tensions, as Turkish forces rejected of Russian’s demands to stop the shelling on the positions of the military councils of SDF, as well as the positions of Kurdish forces in Aleppo countryside.

Hours ago, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored Russian reinforcement consisting of ten vehicles coming from al-Qamishli, which reached its base in al-Baqir area in the town of Tal Tamer, north of al-Hasaka.

The Syrian Observatory has monitored Russian forces and their Turkish counterparts, conducting a joint patrol from al-Derbasiya countryside to Amuda countryside near the Syrian-Turkish border.

Five Russian and four Turkish armoured vehicles set off from the village of Sherik, west of al-Derbasiya, and roamed villages and towns of Dalil, Quneitra and Sheikh Mansour, east of al-Derbasiya, Tal Kdeesh, Ghannamiya and Karbatli, south of al-Derbasiya. The patrol then headed to the villages and towns of Tal Tairi, Jadida, Baba Mahmoud, Tal Karma, Abu, Jaradi, Khasek, Medura and Khanki in the countryside of Amuda, coinciding with the flight of two Russian helicopters over the areas that the joint patrol passed.
