Escorted with Helicopters | Above 50 Russian airstrikes bombard sporadically Syrian Desert

SOHR activists have reported new 50 airstrikes by Russian fighter jets have targeted positions in Ghanem al-Ali region, Deir Ezzur Desert, al-Beshri Mountains and Atheria district in the Syrian Desert.

On the other hand, three Russian helicopters participated in scouting operation and the areal shelling of the region.

Meanwhile, regime forces and Russian-backed militias have brought in new military reinforcements to Deir Ezzur desert ahead of new combing campaign targeting ISIS cells in the area.

Accordingly, the number of Russian strikes which targeted scattered ISIS hideouts since the beginning of November has exceeded 400.

The Russian airstrikes were concentrated on the region between east Hama desert and al-Rasafah desert in al-Raqqah running through Ithirya and al-Rahjan, and large spaces of Palmyra and Deir Ezzor deserts. These airstrikes coincided with routine combing operations conducted by regime forces in searching for ISIS cells in several positions in the Syrian desert.
