Vučić: We have never been richer in the history of Serbia

Inflation has stopped, although our exchange rate is not fixed, it is important that it is firm, we are raising foreign exchange reserves, they are the largest in history in every sense, as well as gold reserves, we are now the richest in the history of Serbia, said President Aleksandar Vučić in a guest appearance on RTS.

In the first two months, he said, we had a much smaller deficit than the planned 50 billion.

“The deficit is only 22 billion, so our result is that much better, by 200 million euros, which is not a little for two months,” emphasized Vučić.

When asked what about the farmers who are on strike in front of the Government, Vučić said that “they all come to the state” and reminded that they increased the purchase price of milk by 50 percent and that raspberry growers had a fantastic price in previous years.

“We have to talk about pigs and sheep, we will increase subsidies for farmers, and we will also talk to raspberry growers, everything we can do to help,” he said.

Vučić used the opportunity and compared the average salaries in the region on the board, where it can be seen that Serbia has progressed from 329 to 750 euros in ten years, which, he said, will be when the official confirmations arrive in May.

“BiH was ahead of us by 15 or 16 percent, now we are ahead by that much. The problem is that the average salary is 1,250 euros in Vračar, 670 euros in Niš, and 566 euros in Leskovac. We have to develop the south of Serbia”, emphasized the President of the country.

When asked if they were discussing the arrival of Mercedes, Vučić said that he had discussed it on several occasions and thought about it countless times, and that he would give anything in the world to make it possible, but that he was afraid that we had made many wrong decisions, that we the only one who renounced “white gold”.

“Did we agree: no, we didn’t. I spoke not once, but several times. Some consciously, some unconsciously misled the public, we gave in under the pressure of various intelligence services,” said Vučić.

If we had started mining and researching lithium, we would have twice as much salary now, he pointed out, and added that we gave up a lot of income and that today we don’t have 130,000 people from Loznica to Bajina Bašta, but there would be 200,000 if we had done that.
