China Russia Alliance, the West in the jaws of the trap

Moscow Tuesday, March 21, 2023, Vladimir Putin accompanies Xi Jinping on the steps of the presidential palace and takes leave of his Chinese counterpart after a spectacular official visit to the Russian capital.

“ Xi Jinping : Today we are experiencing a change that has not happened for 100 years. And it is together that we drive it.

Putin : I agree.

Xi Jinping : Please take care of yourself, dear friend.

Putin : Bon voyage! »

To see the train of history speeding up and to realize that we are in the caboose of the wrong convoy.

A year ago, I asked the question in these columns , whether with the Russian military intervention in Ukraine we are witnessing the triggering of the end of the era of Western domination over the world for centuries. Everything that has happened over the past year suggests that this was the path we had taken. The historic event which has just taken place in Moscow confirms this.

The collective West under American leadership continues to wiggle like a headless duck, and continues its delirious propaganda. Often giving the impression that he wants to convince himself that the real is the description he makes of it. One could multiply the examples of these lies, of these distortions, of these inversions, of his absurd decisions which ultimately reflect only one thing, the disarray in the face of a changing world which escapes him.

Take the example of the issuance by the International Criminal Court (ICC) of an arrest warrant against Vladimir Putin, whom it intends to prosecute for “war crimes”. Beyond its legal, judicial and political ineptitude, it has at least one merit. That of acting as a symptom and showing us what state the West is in today.

A legally and judicially inept arrest warrant
On the merits, this institution took up a controversy relating to the evacuation of children from Donbass from war zones for their shelter on Russian territory, under the responsibility of the Russian Ministry of family. Western propaganda has made it a ” deportation ” forgetting that the Ukrainian president had given the order to do the same thing in the territories he controls. Obviously, this choice of a twisted incrimination was to avoid a questioning of real war crimes in the fights which it seems that there are documented on both sides. Insofar as the ICC intended to target only Vladimir Putin, the unilateral character had to not appear too conspicuous. Again failed, since to qualify ” the impartialityof the court, it should be remembered that the accusation is based on the Kyiv government’s interpretation of Russian efforts to evacuate civilians from the frontline areas that the Ukrainian army was targeting, often with weapons provided by NATO.

What about the legal value of this approach? Close to zero. When it was created, the ICC had aroused certain hopes, and this is the reason why 123 states had signed the “Rome Statute” which provided for its establishment. The problem is that 41 have not done so or have withdrawn and not the least: China, India, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Israel, Sudan and Russia. The United States is a special case, since it refused to accede to the Rome Statute and in 2002 had Congress adopt a law prohibiting any cooperation with the Court and authorizing “all necessary and appropriate meansto liberate any American – or national of an allied country – from The Hague, by military force if necessary. That is to say a military intervention. We are not more cooperative…

Therefore, all the acts of the ICC are neither opposable nor enforceable not only vis-à-vis Russia but also, of all non-signatory countries. There is therefore no chance that this “ arrest warrant ” will ever be executed. So why this initiative, if not to carry out a pitiful communication operation on the part of an institution which has above all distinguished itself by the legal proceedings against the adversaries of the United States in the Balkans and the African leaders who had the misfortune of trying to break free from Western domination. We will add the telescoping of the calendar with the 20th anniversary of the American invasion of Iraq by the United States. Invasion which unquestionably constitutes a ” crime against peace ” and a “war crime ” under international law. George Bush is sleeping in his bed, and his accomplices, of course, have never been worried. This did not prevent, to the height of ridicule, the ineffable Joë Biden from mumbling that the “ arrest warrant ” was justified. In order to participate in the farce, Russia’s ” Criminal Investigation Committee ” has launched nominal proceedings against ICC members for ” the initiation of criminal proceedings against an innocent person “, as well as the ” preparation of an attack against a representative of a foreign State enjoying international protection, with the aim of complicating international relations ”.

Meanwhile, the multipolar world advances
The Western media system rushed on this information, without measuring the obvious limits of an operation that only fueled the exasperation of the global South in the face of this new manifestation of the “double standard” which is now unbearable for it. Not to mention, unfortunately, the disqualification of the institutional system resulting from international law after the Second World War. And who sees all its organs being disqualified one after the other.

While the ICC agreed to make itself the instrument of a manipulation intended solely for communication, the world continued to turn in the dynamic of acceleration initiated since February 24, 2022.

It is of course the considerable event of the Chinese president’s visit to Moscow, to which all the aspects testify, protocol, composition of the delegations, duration of the talks, media coverage outside the West. As Chinese leaders say, the China-Russia partnership has ‘ no limits'”. It is the Russia-Africa summit in Moscow with the presence of 40 heads of state, where Vladimir Putin announces to them the remission of 30 billion dollars in debt. These are the aftermath of the Iran-Saudi agreement, Bashar al-Assad’s post-Moscow visit to the United Arab Emirates, and his re-established ties with Erdogan. It is Iran and Iraq signing a security cooperation agreement that will end CIA-sponsored Kurdish activity against Iran. It is the visit of the Brazilian Lula to meet Xi Jinping back from Moscow. It is the president of Bolivia, which has the largest lithium reserve in the world, who calls Vladimir Putin to assure him of his support, it is the Indonesian president who affirms the need to do without the dollar from now on. To this summary of the last week,

It is in view of this situation that the arrest warrant issued against Vladimir Putin, beyond its legal ineptitude, displays its derisory character. The collective West which pushed Russia into war was convinced, like our own Bruno Lemaire, that the sanctions would destroy Russia’s economy, bring about the fall of Vladimir Putin and the installation in his place of a government vassal. Failed, try again. The United States, Great Britain, Germany and France then thwarted the agreement worked out by Russia and Ukraine in the first days of March 2024. Once again persuaded to put Russia knees. The latter is now methodically continuing its military operation against NATO and the United States through Ukrainian proxies. It’s an industrial war, the result of which is now certain: Ukraine no longer exists as a viable state and the military West is on the bone. So the only things we have left would be these idiotic communication operations?

Convinced in 1991 of their final victory in the Cold War, followed by their European vassals, the United States, considering itself as the policeman of the world, multiplied brutal exactions while wallowing with their debt, in a formidable Ponzi pyramid. All-out financialization against a background of deindustrialization and the giant corruption of their military-industrial complex, plagued by irreducible political divisions and crazy ideologies, the USA is today a singular colossus with feet of clay.

Who fell into a trap?
I said as early as February 2022 that we were witnessing the beginning of the end of a centuries-long cycle of Western domination, of which globalization was the modern form. At no time did I think then, to witness such an acceleration of history, as evidenced by the disintegration of the Western sphere. Would mass be said?

We have heard a lot of the hypothesis according to which, by intervening in Ukraine on February 24, 2022, Vladimir Putin would have fallen into a trap. What if it was precisely the opposite? If it was the collective West, all in its arrogance, its pretensions, its illusions, its massive mediocrity that had rushed into the one Russia and China were offering it?

In March 2020, a few weeks after Joë Biden took office, an American-Chinese summit was planned. The United States wanted it to take place in Washington, the Chinese refused and it was therefore fixed in Alaska, that is to say halfway between the two capitals. The Chinese insisted that journalists attend the meeting. The new Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Anthony Blinken proceeded in the American way, forgetting the diplomatic language to question his interlocutors ” the Uyghurs, Hong Kong, Taiwan, the cyber-attacks against the United States, economic coercion against our allies, all this threatens world order and stability”. Only to be interrupted after two minutes by a scathing diatribe lasting more than a quarter of an hour, visibly well-prepared, in which the Chinese MFA said, among other things: “The United States does not represent international opinion, the West does not represent the world either, and when it comes to cyberattacks, both in terms of the ability to launch them and the technology, the United States is the champion”. We are no clearer. The rest was to match, and poor Blinken left Alaska a little shaken. From that moment, and in parallel, the tone of Russian and Chinese diplomacy changed very markedly. Then came the Moscow demarches in the fall of 2021 and the written request for negotiations on security in Europe that should lead to a treaty. To which the United States, all arrogance and flippancy, did not follow up. On February 4, 2022, a joint statement signed by Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping was published, which was extremely harsh on American strategies, stressing the need for world security to oppose them. For a serious reader, the Sino-Russian partnership appeared clearly, just like the probability of the military operation which will intervene three weeks later.

Then there was surprise at the failure of Western economic warfare and the political and strategic isolation of the West. Then the error of the sabotage of the peace treaty and the difficulties faced with the high-intensity industrial war imposed by Russia. Since 2014, Moscow had been carefully preparing strategically, militarily, politically, industrially, and diplomatically.

At the same time, in a subtle distribution of roles, the Chinese, while developing an increasingly harsh discourse against “American hegemony” and multiplying declarations of “unlimited” friendship with the Russians, pursued without relax their diplomatic work. With the successes that we know. Without forgetting, of course, the development of commercial infrastructures aimed at the development of the multipolar world, which Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping have just reaffirmed as their main objective. To lead to this visit, to this assumed alliance that will change the world.

Meanwhile, the collective West is issuing inane arrest warrants, telling stories, deferring to the excited incantations of Ukrainian TV girls, arguing about whether men can ovulate, witnessing the crumbles one by one of its banks and watches a leader of the “free world”, senile and sputtering, fall down the stairs.

At the sight of the fall of this Roman Empire gone mad, how not to think of the prosperity of Hanlon’s razor: “Never attribute to malevolence what stupidity is enough to explain. »
