Petkovic: We have confirmed statements and other evidence of the brutal murder of Serbs in Banja Luka

Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija Director Petar Petkovic said EULEX did not participate in the Kosovo Police investigation only because the KP wanted to hide certain evidence and to hide the truth — that Serbs were murdered in cold blood, torture and brutality by the KP.

“This should have been hidden from EULEX and an objective independent and above all professional investigation,” Petkovic said.

He noted that Serbia has come up with reliable evidence, in the form of photographs, but also “living words of protected witnesses” about what happened on Sunday.

These testimonies were further confirmed on the polygraph. He said that Bojan Mijailovic was “cold-blooded and painfully” killed after he was first slightly wounded, fell to the ground and surrendered, with a shot to the head. That’s what President Vucic said last night.

“We have all the evidence, protected witnesses who are ready to identify all those Albanian killers who participated in the brutal murder of Serbs in the town of Banjska,” he said, adding that they demand that an independent commission and experts, in co-operation with Serbian pathologists, conduct an autopsy.

He said that it is especially important for them to look at the bodies of the two Serbs because there will be wounds that will clearly show how they were killed.

“It is about the citizens of Serbia, but if you look from the point of view of Kurti and the Western countries that support him, it is a brutal murder of citizens whom he considers his own,” he said, adding that Kurti again showed that he wants to expel Serbs.

He said that they asked EULEX to perform an additional autopsy where pathologists from Serbia would look at the bodies, and said that he also asked Miroslav Lajcak, the EU special rapporteur for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.

He added that yesterday it was said that the calf would be handed over to the family, which was not done.

He said that Kosovo’s Police Minister Candle suppressed EULEX from being part of investigative activities in order to hide who was in the ranks of Kosovo special forces on Sunday.

He claims that a special forces order was sent “not to return until they have killed all the Serbs who were there at that moment”.

Petkovic speaks for the first time since the events in Banja Luka. His conference was originally announced at the time of the unrest, on Sunday at 14 pm, but was cancelled on the grounds that instead of the Director of the Office, The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, will address.
