Saudi Arabia announced a packed calendar of events for the upcoming Eid al-Fitr holiday, from theater to concerts and daily firework displays.
Public and private sector employees in the Kingdom will get five days off from April 9, including the weekend, to mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan, which began on March 11.

The General Entertainment Authority on Wednesday announced a range of experiences spanning across the Kingdom – in Riyadh, Jeddah, Khobar, Medina, Hail, Abha, al-Jouf, al-Baha, Jazan, Arar, Tabuk, Buraidah, and Najran.
These include at least eight concerts throughout the Kingdom.
Wednesday, April 10
Almoftahah Heritage Village in Abha City will feature a range of events from music to light shows from April 10 to 14.
An “Eid Basata” event will be held at the Town Square in Abha from April 10 to 14, with puppet shows, music and laser shows.
Thursday, April 11
Saudi-Iraqi singer Majid al-Muhandis will perform at the Hilton hotel in Jeddah alongside a band led by Madhat Khamees.
Friday, April 12
Saudi musicians Abadi al-Johar, Zena Emaad, and Abdulla al-Mestrih will perform at the Princess Nourah University theater in Riyadh. A music band will be led by Wisam Khassaf.
Rabeh Sager, another Saudi singer, will perform at the Dhahran Expo Center in Dammam. A music band will be led by Hany Farahat. Prominent Saudi singer Moudi al-Shamrani and Dhoum al-Talasi will perform at the expo center.
Saudi artists Khaled Abdulrahman and Nawaf al-Jabarti will perform at the Mohammed bin Saad Al-Bawardi Theater in Shaqra.
Pianist Ivanna Burkatska will host a ‘Tribute to Coldplay’ candlelit performance at the Crowne Plaza Riyadh Palace.
Saturday, April 13
The Miami Band will play at the Sports Hall in Qassim University. The band is also set to headline a concert at AlUla’s Maraya on April 12.
Egyptian singer Mai Farouk and Saudi artist Nawaf al-Jabarti will perform at the Roman Theater in Yanbu.
A theatrical performance called ‘The Red Box’ (Al-Sandooq al Ahmar) will run from April 13 to 17 at the Batterjee Medical College Theater in Jeddah.
Sunday, April 14
Egyptian singer and composer Tamer Ashour will perform at the Durat al-Arus in Jeddah.
A horror-comedy play titled ‘The Wedding of the Jinn’ (Ors al-Jen) will be performed from April 14 to 18.
Another theatrical show, ‘The Neighbor’ (Al-Jar), will play at the Mohammed Ali Theater in Riyadh’s BLVD City from April 14 to 17.
