A seven-month-old baby died in Deir al-Balah in the central part of the Gaza Strip due to malnutrition and a lack of medication.
The baby, Abu Ataya, passed away due to a shortage of food, medication, and adequate healthcare services, all of which are consequences of the brutal attacks carried out by Israel on the besieged Gaza Strip since October 7 last year, according to unnamed health officials.
The same sources stated that the deceased baby was born after the start of the Israeli attacks and required special food and medication due to an illness.
They emphasized that such tragic cases occur as a result of continuous Israeli attacks and the blockade of the Gaza Strip.
Let’s remind ourselves, in the Israeli attacks since October 7, at least 36,224 Palestinians have been killed, including 15,328 children and 10,171 women, with 81,777 people wounded.
Israel has been accused of genocide before the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which in its latest ruling ordered Tel Aviv to immediately halt the operation in Rafah, a city in the southern Gaza Strip where more than a million displaced Palestinians have sought refuge.
