Iran: US Need to Drop Sanctions

TEHRAN (Fars News Agency7)- The United States should drop sanctions imposed on Iran following a US intelligence report that Tehran was not seeking nuclear weapons, Iranian Oil Minister Gholam Hussain Nozari said on Wednesday.

 

“Do you think the United States will continue sanctions after the announcement they have made,” Nozari asked rhetorically on the sidelines of an OPEC ministerial meeting in Abu Dhabi.

“If they do, I do not understand their logic and how they expect to convince the international community.”

He added that Washington “knew from the beginning” that Iran “was not seeking to obtain the atomic bomb.”
