TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Tehran says recent comments about Iran from Washington cannot affect relations between countries in the Mideast.
Earlier, US Defense Secretary Robert Gates said Iran is seeking to cause chaos, and its neighbors must demand Tehran renounces any intention of pursuing nuclear weapons.
Iran says such remarks amount to interference in the internal affairs of other countries, and are aimed at disrupting the unity of the Middle Eastern region.
A report by 16 US intelligence agencies last week confirmed that Iran is pursuing peaceful nuclear programs.
The US National Intelligence Estimate was a confirmation of an earlier report by the UN nuclear watchdog chief that praised Iran’s cooperation and termed Tehran as truthful about key aspects of its past nuclear activities.
